Some people do not care to see that they are in a trap. They are satisfied waking, going to work, watching TV and then going back to bed every day... just waiting for the weekend. Some people spend their whole lives waiting for the weekends.
You can escape by "edifying" your mind with things that fascinate and simply get out of the house and do something besides shopping (you can't fill in your life with stuff)... Like putting away the cell phone and going for a walk in nature, or creating something or learning something new.

It is the human conditioning to work 9 to 5, get a nice car and a nice house and stuff. We are so scared to do things out the norm, we worry we wont have enough money or lose our friends. Thing is, just making the money to do what you want should be an adventure. One day you want to tell your kids all the cool things you did. So you kinda have to get up and do it. Its always the first step that is the hardest. Instead of coming home and watching telly, go out, have a drink. go to a different place. So what if your tired at work, its a different feeling. Its almost fun having the challenge of trying to stay awake! :-)

There are sssooooo many things to do. Take a college course at the local college. Something that will hold your interest. Take a cooking class. Walk in the park. Sit in the park or shopping mall and people watch. Talk to passers-by if convenient. Do some volunteer work--in the local hospital--local nursing home--with hospice. Take part in church activities. Get out and enjoy life. I know it is nicer to do these things with someone--but in doing--you just might meet and find a friend.
E-mail me if you want to talk--anonymously.

I find that if I am not active, doing something, going somewhere, cooking a great meal, after work I get extremely bored. Find some hobbies. I hit the gym a few times a week and on the weekends, I have Me Time.
It's nice to get away from the hustle-bustle.

Good Movie Lowroad. I loved it. It's ground hog day - again!!! Steals money out of the armored car, learned how to play the piano, ice sculptures, and punched the insurance guy, saved a persons life, finally missed the puddle of water.
And he finally got the girl! I got you babe! I got you babe!
People tell me I look like cher! LoL!

Plan out the new day, for instantance set the alarm for a different time, maybe a little earlier, read the newspaper at a different time, wear odd color socks, the key is to change something even if it is small in order for the day to go differently.

If my life ever starts to feel redundant (which it rarely does), I just do something wildly out of character and see what happens.
