The fact that those "1000s of years of accumulated human knowledge" have so frequently been proven to be wrong.

It is an utterly indisputable fact that I know more about the universe than did people in general in the 1700s. I know more than did people in the 1800s. Having just a general knowledge of (for example) astronomy means that I know that ours is only one of many galaxies, and that the galaxies are receding from each other, that there are large planets around many other suns, and that suns generate energy through nuclear fusion. Those are basic facts, but people in the 1700s did not know any of them.

So much for your lame argument. Have you considered spending a few moments thinking about Silva's ignorant propaganda before associating your name with it?

Its because now theres more knowledge then before, as the years go by technology and science knowledge is increasing more and more just take alook at the 70's or 80's just look at the way they dress, the cars, computers, etc. Older people think that just cuz they r older they think that they know more then a younger person, in a way thats true but in a way its not. In a way is true mostly because of life, they have been in more relationships, friendships and the tough times that life has giving them. In the way that they r wrong is because now we have better knowledge about science and technology just look some older people might not even know how to work a computer or even how to install a dvd player in their tv I bet like your dad or mom have asked you to to install anything that has to do with electronics. lol
Sorry i confused myself lol. hopefully this helped

Because with new hard to refute knowledge, and better TECH... knowledge becomes more reliable. Heres a nice question... why do people believe in something that hasnt been proven by anything but their own stupid logic for... about 2007 years...

The bible says god exists because God created the bible.
DERKA DERKA!

Instant Self Creation of an all powerful being is more plausible than the gradual billion year creation of humans...

I'm not certain what it is you're asking. There is the notion that in 50 years of life, one is exposed to the thousands of years of human knowledge, and can learn from that exposure.

It is not a matter of learning more but a matter of learning new things. Not even 1,000 years ago it was believed the Sun revolved around the Earth. Had people simply accepted that as fact, we'd have very little understanding of many things today.

What you mean science or philosophy?

Philosophy argues that gods don't exist or they are unnecessary.

Should we follow the wisdom of goat-herders over philosophers?
