Excellent...congratulations! You are way above average in intelligence.

130 is quite good. It means you are above average, very intelligent. However, recent studies show that IQ tests alone cannot determine a person being "intelligent" or "genius" or "stupid". There is a new theory called Multiple Intelligence Theory. According to this theory, some people who do poorly on math tests may have a higher musical intelligence, or kinesthetic intelligence. This means that some students can learn well just by listening, while others need to "do" things with their hands, or associate meaning with music, etc. There are 8 categories in this theory. Talk to your school counselor. See if he/she has access to MITheory tests and apply them to you. You will have a better idea of how your mind works. I am not saying that your IQ result should be underestimated. You are definitely intelligent. You need to know how your brain works; in which "field" it works better. That may give you an idea about what field of study you can pursue in the future.
I think my IQ was around 140 when I was 15. The test was in English, and English is not my mother tongue. I used to be a very good verbal learner. Now I learn better if I have some visuals and if I work within a group.

That means that by the stuff that an IQ test measures, you are "smarter" than about 97-98 percent of others. Age has nothing to do with it. The scoring system adjusts depending on the age of the person who is taking it. If you took the same test again in three years, and got exactly the same questions right, you would probably score about 110.

That said, if you are as intellectually bright as that test shows, I suggest you NOT let any other kids know. They will think you are bragging and lording over them. Do continue to work hard on all your academic classes. Take the hardest courses in everything that you can find. Add in some Arts and PE stuff. Play sports and do community service to round yourself out. By the time you are ready for college, you should be able to go anywhere you want, and do whatever you are good at.

Though my kids are every bit as smart as you, I do not tell them their scores. I just remind them that they are smart, and that this comes with both responsibilities and joys. I hope you find both.

It depends on where you took the IQ test. Online IQ tests usually aren't "accurate" tests of measurement. In reality, IQ tests are updated every couple of years and usually are made more difficult than the last. 130 is on a higher-normal range on the IQ scale but that's all depending on the source. If it came from a school psychologist, I would question how recent the source was and possibly get another retesting if you really care.

Mine was just a little bit higher and I'm around your age. I think its good, according to what I've read up. But the importance isn't really on the number itself, which proves your ability to keep up to par with the "normal" but you should get an accurate read out on what you're good at, which is "worth" more.

Anyway, tests differ in results from place to place so taking the test from more than 1 source will get you a better estimate.

It's very good! But, if you took it online (I can't remember the name of the site) I have to warn you that I also got 130 (exactly) as did my best friend and my fiance.

So, you may very well have a high IQ - but we three are not geniuses. So take it lightly.

well, 140 is considered the beginnings of genuis. however, which test was this, there are many iq tests that are not very credible, some even boost your score a little so that you will be more inclined to buy some type of "full report" from them. however, if it was a credible test, than that is a very good score.

Very good. You should be proud of that effort.

Be careful not to put too much weight into it, IQ tests are but one measure of intelligence.
