I don't think we can leave each other alone. The days of isolationism are long gone. We are truly in a global village with interdependent economies. The ME has been at the epicenter of strife and conflict for thousands of years....it's not going to change by simply backing off.

Absolutely...the middle east countries (and people thereof) have been at each others throat for thousands of years, with no sign of that changing. Therefore, let them go at it as long as they keep it there, but when they step outside (as 9/11) then stomp a mud hole in their butts and give them a message that cannot be misunderstood, in other words don't go " Half Steppin " as we have been doing. But otherwise leave them the heck alone and mind our business.

Most definitely. No outsides IE Europeans, have ever made anything but dead people in ventures there.
Got beaten badly, cause the middle-easterners just want to develop their own culture, and it would be interesting to see how they would if they weren't being constantly attacked.

We tried ignoring them for years, and they wouldn't leave us alone, they bombed our embassies and attacked our people. If we could leave them alone safely, we would. But as the saying goes; keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
