Depends on what you're looking for and what you are willing to pay: Of course the Swiss ski resorts like Davos, Sankt Moritz and Saas are well known but very expensive. Austria is good and is cheaper than Switzerland and France, also good if you go for entertainment (apres ski) and don't mind drunken dutch....Italy is probably a bit more expensive, Slovenia probably somewhat cheaper.

I hear Czech republic is cheap but the mountains are not that high, so probably not so interesting if you are an experienced skiier.

Last christmas there was hardly any snow in the Alps.... (February and March is the best time to go imo)

Kanderstagg in Switzerland- We went there approximately 8 years in the past. real previous shaped little city with a number of surprising eating places, cool little shops and robust snowboarding at a number of community inns. what's terrific is how "faraway from all of it," you will experience there. We felt like city had purely absorbed us in besides with the very friendly locals. i'm going to pass there returned, and returned, and returned.

Ive heard Bulgaria is amazing to go skiing, snowboarding. Its quite 'undiscovered' and therefore extremely cheap and very picturesque.
