I downloaded a game (tropico) but it turned out to be an apple DMG partition Image file, so my computer doesn't know how to read the file is it possible to somehow make it work on my computer, or not? And if so how?

The basic answer to your question here is no. A lot of file types are platform independant and can easily be used by either type of machine (e.g. gif, jpef, mpeg, mp3) but the file you've got there is the installer for a game and games (or indeed any other type of software) have to be written specifically for the Mac or PC and the installer for one platform cannot be run on the other.

So:

Individual files like mp3 etc = can be used on both platforms.
Actual applications and software like games = cannot be used on both platforms.
