So far, this is what I have come up with: "Honey, if I was interested in fat rolls, I would rub my own."

Is this good or is there a better way to say it?

Well if both of you are overweight, then suggest that both of you diet together.

Yes try putting it as a joint thing. "Honey, its time we both go a bit more exercise". Probably best to be clear though what you mean or she might just come back with "sorry I've a headache tonight"!!

Perhaps a bit blunt:-) Try:

"I love you more every day now that there is more to love!" or

"It's so nice that you are putting on weight to make me feel better about myself!" or

"Should we look for a bigger car now that both of us are overweight?".

Good luck.
