Well as I understand because your soul has traveled in this life and has experienced so many things that you go into some sort of resting area. This area give your soul a time to rest from earths journey so you will have the strength to carry on the next journey of after life. The soul must be rested before it can continue. Don't you think since the soul has experience so much and even at the time of death that it would no need to rest?

You will be same knowingly as now.You will get in hell or heaven
you have to make your decision here in the world while you are living.Hell people will swear that they didnt live in world even one
hour.You will see everybody.Even the people you didnt see in your live after the death you will see.For example George Washington you will see there.

I believe that the body is in the ground, but the soul and spirit go to a place and then wait for the resurrection of a new physical body, and then be reunited to it.

Lay in a hole?
Don't you understand what death is? Your consciousness ends. The you that thinks 'I am me' will be no more.
Religious people like to say that when we die there is energy in our bodies and maybe this is our soul, if thats the case, parts of our soul are released as gas escapes the corpse, and other parts of the 'soul' are fed on by worms, maggots and various kinds of bacteria.

You either go to hell or you go to heaven. Go with the Devil to Hell or go to heaven, God's home. It's your choice while you're on earth to decide where you want to go in the after life for eternity. Choose - pain or joy, Jesus or Satan, heaven or hell, holy bible or man's opinions? It's your choice. the bible is there to give you basic intructions before leaving earth. Please make a wise decision, God loves you.
