I have sooo many it's not funny. Really, anything to do with my dad is a favorite. He died when I was 16 (in 1990) and he was my hero, like a real life John Wayne. Some of my favorite times was in the middle of summer, blazing hot, no a/c, still had a b/w T.V. on an antenna (no cable yet), and I was the remote. He would fix us a balogna sandwich with colby cheese, share a 16oz. glass bottle of Pepsi, and sit on the floor leaning against the couch with just a box fan to blow the hot air around while we watched either John Wayne or a Cincinatti Reds game.
Thanks for conjuring up old memories. I miss my dad still and he passed away 16 years ago.
It never gets any better when they're gone, it just gets easier as time goes by...does that make sense?

I grew up on a farm in central Wisconsin and one of my favorite memories is sitting on the front stoop in the evening after the milking was done during haying season (June & July) eating an enormous bowl of ice cream with aroma of new mown hay in the air and the crickets chirping in the background. Then after haying was done we would take a family vacaion for a couple of weeks. That was something farmers just didn't during the 50's & 60's. I felt very priveleged. By the time I was 10 I'd been to Canada, Minnesota, North & South Dakota, & Chicago several times.

Playing with all my pet animals. We lived on a farm and I had dogs, cats, horses and hampsters. I loved them all so much!!! I now have kids of my own aged 6, 3 and 7 months and have recently bought them a puppy. I want them to get the same enjoyment out of pets that I got as a child.

My favorite memory as a kid was cutting down our Christmas tree. My dad always wanted a big one, one year we brought it home in a dump truck and no we did not have cathedral ceilings.

Coming home from school and sitting down to afternoon tea with my mum, and talking about our day, Giving my mum massages on her legs , she had v.veins and it caused her pain so i would rub them for hours! and brushing her hair. I lost her two years ago and dont think i will ever stop missing her, she was my best friend.

Mine would have to be snuggling with my mom.
My mom passed away 9 years ago and I would give anything just to have one of her hugs.

My favorite memory was when my dad would take me (by myself with out my sister) to McDonald's and then we'd go to the park or go fishing. I love spending time with my daddy. :)
