Well, what kinds of foods do you like?

Spicy?
I occassionally like to chop in large chunks...

pototoes
onions
zuchini
squash
bell pepper
eckridge sausage

Put all of this in a large foil packet, then add half ears of corn on the cob, garlic, butter, sprinkle with ground pepper. (you will add salt when its done) Bake in your oven or on the bbq grill for about 2 hrs on a temp of 375 to 400.

Turn it out on to a platter and you have a one dish meal that is sure to please... I add fresh jalapeno's to mine... I like spicy.

or take last nights chicken, debone and cut into chunks.
mix with cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom, cream of celery (all soups condensed, do not dilute) mixed veggies (drained) Salt and pepper to taste..

put that concoction in a pie shell, top with another shell and bake like you would an apple pie.

I have to make enough to fill 2 9 x 13 pans because of our large family and everyone goes nuts over it.

Another recipe is for simple spaghetti....

I cheat and buy Hunts or whatever brand green pepper and mushroom. (about 4 cans) I add however...
cooked crumbled italian sausage
sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup of sugar
1 cup of red cooking wine
1 small can of rotel tomatoes, drained

Let it simmer until your pasta is done... people think its homemade and its delicious!!!

Look at the jars of sauces on the supermarket shelves, read the ingredients list and buy the stuff (main ingredients anyway). Use that to make what was in the jar - that way you are learning to cook rather than follow a recipie (cooking - knowing what ingredients can go with what in what proportions)
