I am having a minor surgery today, (having 2 moles removed from down "south") and my surgery is at 2pm. I have no problems not eating, but what if I have a small amount of water this morning? They say no food OR drink, but have read that water is ok up to 3 or 4 hours before surgeries??? Has anyone been in my shoes, and what did you do? I am just having a gas mask, not an epidural or I-V anestesia (sp). Please help SOON!

They are going by the "ancient" rules....no food or drink after midnight.....no matter if surgery is at 6 am or 2 pm like mine!
