YES! YES! YES! just go and buy some and taste the difference. I am vegan, and try to go to the weekend organic markets to get the most economical buys(health food shops market at much higher prices). They are sometimes not as attractive as mass supplied fruits and veges(only the perfect shape and colour) yet the flavours are so much more tasty. I'm in Australia, and lots of people who eat meats, chickens etc., buy organic products and swear the taste is better, and also plant based products, go into their shopping, so no I don't think its a fad about environmental issues, but a return to natural growth with no pesticides.

No. There shouldn't be any permanent brain damage. Just look at families before you that switched to organic food when children were an early age. Just to "cleanse" every thing out through a detox though, getting them to drink plenty of water with lemon would be a good idea. Also, the human brain is a very adaptable organ during the first seven years of life. It can take a few diet adjustments, but since the kids have been eating broccoli and mixed berries they should be fine. Adding fish, not grown in a farm or tuna, would be a good idea. In lieu of that, if they're on a vegan or vegetarian diet, adding some Omega 3 supplements or a daily vitamin would be good also. If there's a whole foods in your area, shop there, although it costs a bit more. The media wants you to eat unhealthy, pay for pharmaceutical pills, and constantly turn to television and commercials for answers to any unhappiness. Don't listen to the TV. I think California has passed a law which makes food producers label GMO's. I'm not sure if its the same for your state, but look at the labelling on food items. Also don't buy any produce with a 4 digit PLCU code starting with 3. That means it was "conventionally grown" and has been treated with pesticides. Some interesting facts about the human body. Did you know every 7 years, it replaces every cell with new ones? Great idea making the switch to organic foods! You will definitely save tons of money on medical bills in the future and you and the kids will definitely become healthier too.

One sure way to tell is through apples. Buy two apples of the same type, one organic and the other not. Wash both, then slice with different knives and taste one. Then eat a bite of cracker, and taste the other. I personally can taste a difference, an organic apple tastes like the kind I used to take to school when I was a kid in the 60's. However, if you smoke you may not taste a difference. Of course organics are better for you- no doubt about it. As far as cost goes- yes they are more expensive, but you are either going to pay for organics now, or pay the doctor later.

There's no difference in taste. It has to do with the way they were grown without pesticides. Alot of people here in the States are going "organic"...like milk products, etc. but are very expensive.

i dont really taste a difference but organic is so much better for your body than something that isnt organic. mainly because you are not ingesting any pestisides or diseases that they may have sprayed on the food.

It tastes much better because they use cow manure instead of bagged fertilizer. If you don't wash it tastes even better because you get that fresh manure taste.
