Your friend should go for contact lenses.
Through personal experience I have learned that contact lens actually help 'slow down' degeneration of eyes.
There is also the factor of unnecessary weighted pressure on the nose which often is a source for headaches.
In time maybe he could opt for Lasik surgery. I had it done last year and am very happy with the results.

I would suggest he try both, and see which one he likes better. I got a 3 month supply of contacts, and I hate them. I find them very uncomfortable, but if I go out for an evening, and I don't want to wear glasses, I like having the option of the contacts.

contact lenses gives better clarity. He can go for it. Little maintenance should be done in that case.
If he gets glasses, it will be little thick and heavy.
Has he considered Laser (lasik) treatment? Its a very good option.

i'm a woman and that i positioned on glasses. I have been given a pair of touch lenses as quickly as yet they gave me a headache. I saved feeling like i grow to be forgetting something. ? And a chum instructed me that he have been given a touch lens caught in his eye as quickly as and could no longer get it out for like an hour, so as that kinda scared me too. So yeah, glasses. ?

contact lenses do look good and if alergic better wear glasses

I highly reccomend lasic surgery. If he has a hard time finding his glasses in the a.m because he can't see, do it permanently. I did and have never regretted it.

some are alergic to contact lense.its better he wears glasses.
