I have a small timber deck at my rear door. I constantly hose it down and spray with white vinegar to neutralize the smell. I have also used the products Nil Odor and Urine Off but they continue to wee on this deck as soon as they leave the house. When I am home I shoo them off the decking but it's difficult to always be there to do this. Has anyone had a problem similar to this and how did you solve it? Help me please...

Try a product called Boundery. It's a deterant. There are others you can use for the outdoors also. You're neutralizing the odor but not helping THEIR habit.

When you let them out you're going to have to walk them down and show them where to go the bathroom. Once they have done the deed reward them with treats and praise. (It's like re-potty training them all over again). It'll be a hassel in the beginning but once they've figured out it's a better thing going in the grass because they get goodies you won't have to walk them out anymore.

Good Luck

You need to be just a little more forceful when shooing them off by letting them know (fierce low voice perhaps) that you ,the master, are really displeased and will not accept this behaviour. A bit of water in the face or a water pistol can be used to emphasize the point and to express your displeasure. Furthermore a temporary gate to the decking would be a good move while you are away and until they understand acceptable behaviour

Put a gate on the deck to keep them out.
