Being a tad more phonetically correct it is Khawp khoon Kha (and usually the Kha will be drawn out).
The phrase is ขอบคุณค่ะ which broken down is:
ขอบ or Khawp can mean having to do with thanks (it has another meaning as well but I don't want to add confusion).
คุณ or Khoon means "you", it also has MANY other meanings but in this context it means you.
The ending, ค่ะ or kha, is a polite expression used at the end of a sentence by females. The male ending is ครับ or Khrap which to a western ear will sound quite a bit like "cup" with a slight flick of the tongue after the c. It is the proper, and polite, way to end a sentance in thai. If you are VERY familiar with someone you may not use an ending, but otherwise it is considered rude to not use the polite ending.
Depending on the situation, the usual response to ขอบคุณค่ะ / Khawp khoon Kha is ไม่เป็นไรครับ or mai pen rai khrap(if you are a male, kha if you are female), which can be construed as "think nothing of it", but a simple smile and acknowledgment will suffice.

its means 'thank you' in thai as spoken by a female
in thai it written as à¸à¸à¸à¸à¸¸à¸à¸à¹à¸°
but to change it into phonetic english will depend on where u come from, for me - it would be kawp khun ka.
ka should be said sharply and in a drop tone.
thai is all about the tone u said the word in and if said the wrong way can have a different meaning.
