This guy i really fancy always leave us meeting up to chance-when we are out in town on the same night.
It can be weeks before we meet like this as we live in different cities and im not always in his city-which is when we meet up (if he is out in town).
He texts me when hes out in town to see if im around and i text him when im out in his town to see if hes around.
Does he not really like me cause he hasnt asked me out properly?
This has gone on for years.
He is single and knows that i came out of a 6 year serious relationship 8 months ago.
we have kissed.

He may be 1 of those guys that enjoys the chase and may be just after a 1 night stand with you then youll never hear from him again,
he may be thinking that hes not into you enough to start a serious relationship as you both live in different towns,
he may still think of you as a girl who is in a serious relationship (even though your not and havent been for 8 mths),
or he just might not know how much you fancy him and doesnt want to be the rebound guy.
Hope this helps.

Ok, if this has gone on for years then that means you were in a relationship while you two were flirting. This sends a message to him that you are only playing, so he is only playing too. If he truly likes you he will make a move. Also, be honest with yourself and get to the core if you really want to know how he feels. Just ask him "what exactly are we doing, playing or is there some interest here?" If he says he is interested then tell him you are a lady and you demand/deserve respect and if you are only playing to see how far you can get, go ahead and find another girl to play with because you don't play like that. This will test him!! Sounds like a playa to me! But you never know, your first instinct is usually right.

He likes you. He just doesn't seem to want to be bothered with a real relationship with you.
Some women wouldn't mind that and would be willing to take things physically to the "next level," without strings or expectations. Some women would mind that idea a great deal.
You have to decide which of those kinds of women you are and act accordingly. If this has "gone on for years," I doubt he's willing to commit to an actual relationship.
If it were me, and I enjoyed his company? I'd keep seeing him as convenience allowed, but keep it platonic and look elsewhere for a wholly fulfilling relationship with someone else. But I'm not you!

If you have sex with him, you are telling him you don't take the idea of a relationship seriously. He will love u and leave u. You tell him to stop playing games and see if he's smart enough to follow directions. Have a third- party friend explain to him the rules of courtship and just how much he will be throwing away if he doesn't ask u out soon!

He's not really into a relationship with you by the sound of things but obviously enjoys your company. Try & make yourself a little harder to get hold of & set the chase - if he chases then you may have a good chance. Best of luck.

Similar situation myself. It went on for months and I kept on hoping that he would take the step and ask me out. This is going to sound harsh, but if he hasn't asked you out yet, then he probably won't. Sounds like he is fine with friends with benefits. If he wanted more, he would do more and make it known. Only way to know for sure is to ask.

Why can't you ask him out properly? I mean, he is attracted to you and sounds like you like him a lot, so if he is too shy to ask for a date with you, then you should do it! good luck....
