It is hard for us to fully understand this but all relationships will be changed in Heaven, there will no longer be Husbands and Wives,Parents and Children,we will all be one family under Gods care and love.
But the love that we had for each other on earth will be transformed into a perfect love and things like jealousy will be unknown.
I f you think that you love your husband now wait untill you both reach Heaven your love will seem like a dim reflection in a mirror compared to how you will love in Heaven.

im guessing ur a christian? i am and my hub and i had this talk the other day. marriage vows were invented by humans, not straight out of the bible so don't hav 2base this idea on their exact words.we figured Jesus said when the dead rise there will be no marriage... they will be like the angels in heaven.' cos it would b a prob 4 those who were happily married twice, (ie first spouse died) for one thing! Lets be thankful we love our spouses enough to care that much but know that of course heaven will be better than what we know now. We figured we'd know eachother.. but it's weird, isn't it!!! Glad someone else thinks marriage is great. Well done God 4 inventing it. x

The marital bond *per se* is broken at death|
You are no longer married|
But you still have a loving relationship with him|
In fact it will be far deeper than when you were married on earth, since you will not be bound by the conventional parameters of space and time|
Each person in heaven will be far more themselves than they were on earth|
Rather than personality being obliterated, it will be far richer and far more individualistic than it was on earth - yet the loving union between the blessed in heaven will be far greater and far more intimate than it was on earth|

It really is up to what you and your husband create. If you and your husband wish to be married in the afterlife, it is entirely possible. The first thought you have, after you die, is what you will experience.

Marriage ends at death. People who are married on earth will not be husband and wife in the hereafter -- or in the resurrection of the dead.

The Messiah clearly told people that there would be no marriage in the afterlife. (Luke 20:35)

In Heaven there is no marriage. I think we also do not have genders up there. We'll be asexual, if that helps reassure you.

That probably depends upon whether you are his idea of "heavenly". "Paradise" wouldn't be that great if one was forced to spend eternity shackled to someone he/she wasn't that happy with or crazy about during his/her lifetime.
