Is Bioinformatics a good field..in U.S....are there job oppurtunities there..?

i have done my bachelors in microbiology in India....now i have to go to chicago...so i m thinking of doing a one month course in bioinformatics....{ geomics & preteomics }..so just by doing this course can i get a job there...if yes what is the pay roll in this field?............or shall i go for SAP course { BM module }......i am confused since i want to earn quiet well there........so please guide me,

Well, since you haven't gotten a more specific response, I would gather from the term bio plus information, or perhaps information technology is the point, that it is a wide open field in the US where medical technology generally is a major growth industry.

Remember that we baby boomers are getting old enough to need significant medical care, and there are a huge number of us.
