All kids go through fazes in life that they eventually out grow within a year or so... Sounds like she's into Goth already it's just a fad but I'd keep a close I on it and her just in case.

So what? She likes skeletons. Why is this a problem? My 6 yr. old loves skeletons and anything spooky. He has since he was like 3. He started collecting Living Dead Dolls when he was 4. We had to stock up on Halloween t-shirts because he refused to wear anything that wasn't black or that didn't have spooky stuff on it. I have no idea where he got this. But we have never discouraged it. This is just the way he is. He may outgrow it. He may not. He is a good kid and very smart. We have no major issues with him. So, if he wants to be interested in spooky things then I'm all for it.

Simply put, if you have to ask then no. I think you are doing the right thing by seeking help. Your daughter is going through adolescence, which is of course a hard time in her life but this sort of "phase" can be damaging. Once subjected to this kind of perception your mindset is completely altered and the effects are visibly detrimental. You may see your daughter hanging out with the wrong kind of people, making bad decisioins and the absolute lack of desire to be a productive part of society. She is a rebel. Rebeling against what? Her parents. There was something missing in her childhood, could possibly be lack of guidance. Childeren need good parenting to properly develope. Give her guidance and don't be afraid to lay down the law.

well..I have to ask who hung the paper. If you didn't like it then you should have said no. But I wouldn't worry. Shut the door on it if it bothers you. Teenagers go through a "death" phase and this is hers. She is going to go through many phases while she finds her own identity. Who knows....in a couple of years this phase may be the best one. I went through the goth phase and death and many others. Just let her go through them and remember she will come out the other side of it a well adjusted adult (who's obsession with skeletons may lead to her being a doctor or chiropractor LOL)

This is just your daughter trying to rebel. We all done it in some form or another. (mine was belly tops). She should grow out of it but if she goes too far just let her know she is out of order and that she cannot do it. After all she is still your daughter and you still rule the roost. In the end you are going to love your daughter no matter what and once she knows that then the rest will fall into place.

If that is the style they're into then I don't see any harm in it. The wallpaper is'nt gonna make her go out and kill anyone so I think its fine.

hormones. It is normal for teenage girls to go through these stages, mainly because they feel different or peer pressure. She will come out of this stage and move on with life as she grows older

It's normal! Skeltons are a very popular thing right now. Many kids have been wearing them on shirts and everything. Don't worry.

Its a kid thing. I myself agree that this is kind of weird, BUT hey it could be so much worse than this. I say better skulls, than drugs. I say drugs as in marijuana leafs all over the wall.
