I just got married in October and I showed 3 people my dress. My mom and sister went with me to try it on to get their opinions and then I gave my best friend the website so she could see it since she was in Texas. Other than that I think the people that attend the wedding are in awe when they see the bride for the first time. I wouldn't want to take that away from anyone. Also, my dad didn't see my dress until 15 minutes before the wedding. He came in to get ready to walk me down the aisle. He started crying, and that moment is priceless. I wish you the best and hope your wedding is all you wish it to be! I know mine was and it was worth every day of waiting!

hmmm..for me .choosing the wedding dress were a bit tricky coz my hubby and i had 3 wedding receptions to think of (and 3 different themes for the receptions)..hehe.In my case, the most important thing was that my hubby-to-be and myself love the dress/suit
After my hubby and i chose all 3 outfits, we showed it to my mom and sister who were my wedding planners (for both receptions on my side) and one of his aunt who plans his side of the wedding. They all loved it, and we took into consideration some of their comments to complete the outfit, such as accesories etc.
I guess the most important thing is u and ur hubby to be loves it..an then also a consent from both family members who are very deeply involved in the wedding are crucial to ensure that the dress and wedding reception theme fits well. however, i would say a limit of 1-2 people per family side is quite adequate. the rest of the family and friends just have to wait for your big day to see your wedding outfit. the surprise element is the most exciting part!! Yeah u could describe a bit here n there like the colour or if ure going traditional or modern dress..but for goodness sake dont give everything away!! hehe
hehe..good luck dearie :)

My parents, and one friend who was unable to make it to the wedding because she was moving out of the country. I did not describe it to anyone, not that is was amazing or anything, but I just wanted to ensure it was a surprise on the day.

I've showed tons of people, I can't help it. Family, friends, I'm a case manager at a residental place for teens...I even took pictures & brought them to show the girls I work with because they are excited about my wedding. I can't help it, I adore my dress & want to show it off even before I get to wear it.

Gosh it was 24 yrs ago, but I'm pretty sure I only showed my mum and sisters and my neighbours who had known me since I was a toddler. I probably tried to discribe it a little but manly to people who wouldn't be at te wedding like workmates etc.
O I had some practice photos at a neihbours on her staircase .I wanted to see what I would look like :)

I showed my mother, sister, and FMIL. They went with me to pick it out. My bridesmaids saw it when they picked out THEIR dresses. And I will show my godmother when it comes in next month. (I'm getting married in June)
We went to my fiance's cousin's wedding, and his bride had my dress on!!! My (oh-so-wise) FMIL yelled, "Oh, my God, Jade, she has your dress!" So I don't think too many people will be surprised at my wedding. Oh, well. Don't sweat the small stuff.
