Ummm... lol...
I think the most important thing is to not be afraid of the chicken.
My great grandma just grabbed a chickens head, placed it on a tree stump real casually and then a headless chicken was running around. She was quick.
One good idea I saw was coverin a chicken with a bucket... and let the head and neck stick out. Step on the bucket to hold it down and then do the deed.
Another idea I saw was using a rope to hold the chickens head down to a choppin block.
Gotta do it fast so the chickens don't get nervous. If the chicken is running around the garden... um... it's gone put up a fight.
Anyway, here's a website with instructions on the killin and everything else.

No. But the thing is, I don't eat meat/animals/animal products (milk, eggs, etc). Everyone's morals are different, and my morals are that I do not eat animals or anything made from them. And no, I'm not "stick thin." That is a common and completely false misconception. Being vegan/vegetarian is actually many times healthier than omnivores could ever hope to be. It's advised as the healthiest diet (so long as you're not eating all junk food, aka french fries, which are vegetarian) by doctors, medical professionals, anyone properly educated in health.

the most human way to do this is by pulling the chickens neck. As suggested grab the chicken place one hand at the top where the neck meets the head and the other at the top of the shoulders then give one quick hard tug (pull the head the opposite direction from the body) and you should break the neck then hang and pluck.

i was told to lay the chicken on the ground, put a broom handle across its neck, grab the legs and give a sharp pull, breaking the chickens neck. However, when i tried it on one of our ancient chickens i managed to pull its head right off, due to the shock of having a flapping and headless bird in my hand i dropped it and watched it charge around the garden minus its head for about 5 minutes...... horrible!
Plucking a bird is easy just pull the feathers out in a stripping action.

I will never forget this as long as i live. Our neighbour next door chopped off the chicken's head and the poor thing ran around for age blood squirting all over the place. We were invited for supper that day and i refused to eat it. I know they plucked the feathers when the poor thing was finally dead and that is about all i know. I prefer thinking chickens come as they are in the super-markets:)))

Ring it's neck then rip all the feathers off! Do NOT chop it's head off casue it'll keep running around for a few seconds spirting blood everywhere.
