There is such a thing as 'righteous anger'. This doesn't mean you hate something because of religion, but because it is the right thing to do. For an example, think of slavery. It is totally OK to hate it because it is just wrong! I'm sure you can think of other things...rape, murder, etc. Incidentally, you can hate something a person did, but not the person. Sometimes people do things they regret later or even things they themselves hate (like drugs) but just can't help themselves. When you do this, you are being compassionate and it is a much better thing to be than hateful.

Normally hatred of something is caused by a jealousy of something so first look at what the real issue is and decide if your hate if for the right reasons or wether its more of a strong dislike of something you dont agree with. Try to be tolerant in life the differences in life are what makes the world interesting so try to respect all things.

its never right to really hate something or someone..all we can do is to get rid of that feeling..alyough sometimes its pretty hard but hating isn't make anything better, in fact its going to make ur life worse because u'll always be in a bad mood or ull feel like haunted by that feeling...

It's not so much a question of is it right or wrong. I think the real question is, what does it achieve? Hate is such a strong and negative emotion.

Best wishes, J

My definition of hate is a little different than most people.

To hate someone means that you still care about them. For you to think enough about someone to actually "hate" them, means that you still think about them. When most people say hate, I really think they mean that they still love them in some way.

If you mean that you don't care about someone, or you wish ill on them, that's called indifference. That's the same as saying, "I don't care what happens to that person."

no...... hate is a natural emotion and we all experience it in some form - it could be to hating brocolli to hating a person - situations and circumstances often rule these feelings - so its quite normal to hate something and you wont come off any worse for doing so!

hate's a really strong emotion... its the opposite of love, usually you can't really hate something unless you love it... since hate implies that you're conscious of it and its on your mind...

if you really didn't like something or somebody, you wouldn't be conscious of their existence, just completely oblivious to them or it..

i've no idea if i'm making sense, but run with it for a while... :-)

Ie if you were sent here you would have evey right to hate the church and go on a killing spree

'The Magdelen Sisterss' should be in your video shop but the tv drama 'sinners' was more accurate if you can find it.
over 30,000 were involved up till 1996...how old were you at that time?
How many of your friends, you or your sister could have ended up here.
