Use shaving cream and a sharper razor. I suggest the Mach 3. Or you could just have sensitive skin.

the shorter the lock of the hair is , the closer it with its sharp-pointed head to the soft tissue of the skin , apply a wet hand-stroke from time to time or use a cream to moisture it

the sharp edge of the razor tears the skin also.

if you use the right moisturizer it shouldn't be so bad
