The bridge example.
Draw a picture of 2 cliffs on the outside edges of a piece of paper with a large gap and a vertical line in between them.
Write "God" on one cliff and draw a stick figure on the other.
Talk about how we try different ways to get to God by ourselves, but all fall short. (Rom 3:23)
Then, draw a "bridge" between the 2 and talk about how Jesus coming to earth and dying is what made that bridge. Point out how the original vertical line that separated us from God and the "bridge" make a cross.
Show the stick figure easily walking across the bridge to God.

I am not a Christian. If you want others to know about Jesus let your actions speak and try to be as Christ-like as you can. That will be more effective than just telling people about him. Too many Christians talk the talk without walking the walk and that does not exactly make Christianity seem appealing to others. Let people see the Christian way of life so that they can judge for themselves whether that seems like a good way of life. Don't push your beliefs on anyone who is not willing to listen, you wouldn't like that sort of harassment yourself.

Yes, I am a Christian, and no, don't go around harassing people about your beliefs.

Just be yourself. Religion should not be a way of telling the world "Hey, I am good and you should be too!". It's something you do and think for yourself.

And remember: Christians are not better people. Christianity doesn't have to be the best way. People judge for themselves.

Happily, no.

I suggest you go to a CHURCH to tell others about Jesus, since that's where the people who might be interested in hearing about him will be. It is exceedingly disrespectful to preach at people who have already made the decision NOT to be Christians.

One explanation of the gospel that is in fairly common use is the Four Spiritual Laws:

1. God loves you and created you for an intimate personal relationship.

2. Sin has separated man from God and the relationship between them is broken. (The bridge example given above can illustrate this.) (It is important to tell people that it is sin that has separated them from God, otherwise they may not necessarily see the need for a Saviour.)

3. Jesus is God's only solution for man's sin; through him we can have a personal relationship with God.

4. It is not enough just to know the above three points; we must each personally place our trust in Jesus as our Saviour and Lord. Then we can know God personally.

I am a former Christian, and the best way to tell someone about him is to say the best things about him that you know, but if it is for conversion, if that is the religion that is true for them, then they will be drawn to it, as I was drawn to Paganism (not Satanism) without pressure to believe in it
