I don't need much when I go out.

I'll take my ID, you have to be able to show ID here for the past two years or so. I've never been stopped for anything but if they do I think it's 35 euro's so I'll take that little card just in case.

I'll take my house keys 'cause I need to get back inside!

I'll take my clothes of course. :) No shoes, I'm a fulltime barefooter, and I don't have any other accessories I absolutely need.

That's only three things I absolutely always take anywhere, I've gone out plenty of times with just those! There are several things I *almost* always take along but I'm not sure which are the most important:

I'll usually take a bit of money -although when I go for a hike, I may not even do that, for I'm not the kind of person who always needs to stop at a store & besides there aren't even any stores or restaurants in my regular hiking spot, the woods start a block from my home so there's nowhere to spend money on the way there either!

I'll take my bicycle if whereever I go is too far to walk. No car and when I go by train I cycle to the station; the bus stops around the corner but doesn't go too often & takes a very long time to get anywhere.

Usually I take my tiny little purse with train tickets, pen, pencil, a few notes, business cards, work ID, etc, etc but it's not something I can't do without, I often don't take it when hiking nor when I just go across the street to one of the neighbors.

I do own a cell phone but I only use it for emergencies and I take it only when going out for the day, not for store runs or visits to the neighbors either.

I'll wear a watch only when I really need to be on time for stuff, on a store run I don't bother (I rarely 'go shopping' for hours, I just go and buy what I need. Besides the grocery store has a large clock on the wall).

Dear friend,

Hope you are not asking for a materialistic answer, like comb, keys, pen, money, etc, etc,

The 5 things I take with me are :
1. Prayer - to make the day a good one.
2. Right attitude towards others, so that I dont make their life miserable as well as mine.
3. A smile - to prove that when we smile at others, so do they.
4. Good Manners.
5. Love for my fellow road users.

A very special question but I finf that the answers given so far are naive. When I go out there is nothing fixed what I MUST take with me. It depends on where are you going, when you are going, etc. etc.
