two tonsils on the right side what does that mean?

i took my daughter to the doctors today as she was unwell and the doctor was very surprised to find two tonsils on her right side both swollen with puss the lefted side a little swollen
i have never heard of people having three tonsils any advice would be great thaks

i never heard of that either. if she keeps on having streps or absesses have them removed. too many streps can cause problems with the kidneys.
