Fat? What is the BMI level that makes you a sinner?

I don't think there is a particular "BMI" level that would determine you level of "sin" or not.
As for a sin, there are many people who are overweight due to thyroid conditions and such and NOT as a result of overeating. Still there are more of us who simply don't exercise, and there are some who just plain overeat.
Frankly, Christians still debate this issue and my husband and I are actually divided on this.
He says no, I say yes. I say yes because it can damage a Christian's witness to other people. I don't know if I would go so far as to call it a "sin" but I would definitely say it's something we should be concerned about since anything that can damage our witness to non-believers is a bad thing.

Obesity is a much greater sin than smoking.
Smokers fund their health care need by paying the extortionate taxes on cigarettes. The obese have more time off work and pay nothing for their extra medical requirements.

You know what, I eat right, work out regularly, and still have a little "pudgy" to me.....all this is it a sin is it not a sin crap is just a smoke screen someone threw up to make themselves feel good and chastise others for no good reason. Judge yourself for the life you've led, don't try to live up to someone else's standards, you'll always fall short. (And as far as I know it's not a sin to be short either, lol)

No, it is not a sin to be fat. It is a sin on all present mankind, that there is one child, just one poor child, who has died of starvation.

Hey, Christians answering that it is not a sin to be fat, what about GLUTTONY? I thought that was on your list of seven deadly sins?

# 1 Lust (Latin, luxuria)
# 2 Gluttony (Latin, gula)
# 3 Greed/Avarice (Latin, avaritia)
# 4 Sloth/Laziness (Latin, acedia)
# 5 Wrath/Anger (Latin, ira)
# 6 Envy/Jealousy (Latin, invidia)
# 7 Pride/Hubris (Latin, superbia)

by the way, looking at that list, a lot of you should work on #5 and #7
