God is wise. The wisdom of this world is inutile when it comes to explaining evil.

If those are the only options, I would have to say that He is wise.

Moreover, though, I would say that He is merciful.

It would be "fair" of God to wipe out humanity for its evil. Yet God tolerates it, to the degree that one asks, "Why would a good God allow this to continue?"

The answer is that He is giving humanity a chance. He wants us to repent of our evil and turn to Him for forgiveness. We cannot repent if we are dead. God does not want us to die, or He would have not sent His Son into the world. After all, God sent His Son to save the world, not to condemn it.

True, evil persists. But God's mercy endures forever.

Thank you for asking your question... and by the way, I am not trying to cram religion or opinion down your throat. I am merely answering your question according to my beliefs, trying to help another person reach the road that I am on.

God bless.

Try to think of good as heat, and evil as cold....cold doesn't exist in and of itself....cold is the absence of heat....make sense? Now the question becomes, WHY does this omniscient, ever-present "god" allow his absence? Some would say that there are people that "refuse to accept god" because it's a free choice. The truth: What god? Show me one scrap of evidence. "All that is necessary for evil to truimph is for good men to do nothing." I don't hear "god" in there anywhere.....

There is no such thing as god. You say when bad things happen it's not him. But oh boy if a good thing happens it was a blessing or miracle. Stop bending over backwards to support bronze age myths. And look into actually learning scientific fact.

Coal is exposed to high heat factor , to distinguish the diamonds among it.
Same way, people are exposed to evil, so that the diamond souls ( not obeying evil and follow God's way) and coal(black) souls ( obeying evil and leave the God's way) appear...
it is one of the keypoints of the test,
That is how God gave the duty to evil for this big purpose.

God is all wise. Love with out free will is meaningless, good behavior without temptation shows no character.

Evil is a necessity for good to exist. Balance in all things, like an oscillation... all things are countered by their opposite. Rhythmically coherent, they can be observed.

If he didn't allow people to do what they wanted then we would all be robots and what would be the point of that? There's no point in life if there's no free will.
