if so, is it a urine test or hair test?

Just finished medical school last year. We had one urine drug screen before third year (when we go on the wards and take care of patients). My residency also did one before starting up internship. No hair tests.

Never had drug testing while in school,,,But a hospital can check just about any time they feel it is warranted ie, verbal or written complaint or any cause of suspicion !

I don't think they ask for them, but I'm sure somewhere in the fine print they have a clause that says they can run one if they suspect you of using.
