Because we have once again bought into another Big Bush Lie.
That the majority of Iraqis really want us there but the mean ole liberal media just chooses not to show them on TV.
Do you really think, that an insurgency would be able to survive and take on the largest and most sophisticated military in the world, within the confines of one city, without the help of the majority of it's citizens??
Of course not! Our venture in Iraq will eventually end in failure because the majority of the people in Iraq do not want us there. It's inevitable. The people united, will never be defeated.

FAIR --- Why not they are just following the examples set by our congress that routinely takes long vacations when they should be sitting at their desk working on legislation that affects the welfare of the american people. Do I say it's right that the Iraqi congress should take a recess. No it's not right. It's idiotic. It doesn't make sense. Then again neither does it make sense for the Iraqi congress to be arguing on street lights. The problems in Iraq are huge. Unfortunately the majority of those problems were caused by our "flowers in our guns" attitude of the administration. The Iraqi people voted for and got a government. However voting a government in doesn't mean that government can govern. There is a much division among the congress of Iraq as there is between the various religious sects. They aren't tuned into the people or their problems. They are tuned into how much money we are providing them. If you want the Iraqi government to get off it's proverbial fat ***, then you've got to tell them, the clock is running down and they had better get with the program of establishing a unified Iraq. The result if they don't will be a shia led religious government most likely headed by Al Sadr and closely allied with Iran.

Some Iraqi people don't want them to stay, we would call them "the insurgents" if the government of Iraq didn't want them there they would leave. The idea is to keep propping up the government there until it develops the ability to defend itself. Proving how stupid it was to disband the Iraqi army in the first place.
FYI - there is more un-drilled oil in the US and its coastal waters than in the middle east, the US gets most of its imported oil from south america, the oil from iraq goes to europe and i don't like trite answers when they are wrong.

The Iraqi people want to fight each other. That's why they don't want the US troops there, they would much rather duke it out among them selves much like a play school game of king of the mountain... The side that wins maintains control of the oil and thus the cash flow of the country.

Bush and his cohorts are the only ones believing that the Iraqis love the American troops' presence in their country. They keep on ignoring the fact that no people will ever love invaders in their country.

It depends on what poll your reading...if you ask the Sunni population its get out now.!.which is kind of strange since all hell will break loose on the Sunni population which is now a minority..for their undying support of Saddam..! Most Iraqis want the US out but they also want security first...I think it. all depends on the way the question is asked !

We have to defend their right to sell us oil. They must be free of the terrorist suspects so that the drilling can resume, that is why we fight.
