Hi Fran,
this sounds to me to be an acute case of Sinusitis, an infection of the sinus cavities of the skull. I would have said a migraine, but they are very rarely coupled with earache.
Try buying a bottle of Olbas oil and inhaling over a bowl of hot wate with it in. It should help to clear the nasal passages and relieve the pressure in your sinuses.

Ouch, that happen's to me when i have migraine, thank goodness it does not happen ofte. it is very painful hey. I have been told that eating chocolate , sweet stuff can cause migraine's but personally i believe it is caused by stress. There are some very good over-the-counter tablets for migraine, they do work. Hope you feel better soon , it is awful you cannot read , watch tele or be on the computer. Get well soon and good luck:))

Hi Fran...
I get headaches every day. Mostly on my right side temple. I have been drinking Feverfew tea. Feverfew is actually very good for headaches. It is very nasty tasting. I have been either mixing it with another tea bag (flavored) or putting honey in it. Eventually i am going to buy the caples so i dont' have to taste it. However, with the tea, i noticed it working right away. I have to drink 1cup a day. I skipped 3 days and my headaches came back. So try that...
Good luck!

it's a migraine. I used to get mine pre-menstrually, mine were hormonally related. I don't know if migraines can be stress related.

Sinus pain very common when you have a cold, but be wary of using nasal sprays they can do more harm than good
