And... Who Comes Home First?
I am so tired of being told I don't care about the soldiers in Iraq because I support our President and the mission of stabilizing Iraq before we leave. The most recent statement I have come across is "It seems that they have no heart and will risk additional American lives in our war with Iraq just to show that they have a plan and to save face on their failures in Iraq"
I do NOT believe it would be a wise move to just start randomly pulling our men and women out of Iraq. You can't just start pulling men and women out of Iraq on a moments notice and leave the ones who are still there more exposed to enemy attacks while there is still so much instability.
How do you ask the last American to leave Iraq to be willing to die because he was the unfortunate one to be in the last group to leave? How do you do that?
How do you choose who stays and who leaves FIRST before that country is stable?

In the end the US will have to pull out of whether or not Iraq is stable. It happened in Vietnam and Korea. Is there a quick fix, never. When the pullout starts the troops still on the ground will be in a far more dangerous situation then any of us can fathom. Less troops they will be out numbered and it will be the insurgents last hurray. The problem with Iraq is you cannot help a country who cannot help itself.

I would love to be the one who decides if we go or if we stay. because I would be more like bring them home and send some bombs.
