Sometimes milk proteins are used to clarify or otherwise fine wines. The idea is that you add the proteins and they bind with cloudy or undesirable components in the wine and they both settle out. There is some debate as to whether or not wine should be labeled as 'containing' milk products since they are used, but should be completely removed from the final product. You must be thinking about the sparkling wine called White Russian and the milk is added not only for the color but also so your cat will like it. So keep drinking them till your lactose intolerance kicks in then do like God told Moses to do on Mt. Siani...take two tablets and go to bed.
