Would we ever be able to get a loan?

Question

My husband and I want to get a mini-van. Like a 2000-2003 dodge caravan. The only 2 vehicles we've ever had were bought with cash. We are only 21 and 22. My husbands job is stable and we could afford it, especially if we trade in our car, but he's only been at his job for 7 months. Is it at all possible that a bank would give us a loan? We dont have much credit, and the little we have isnt great.

i would check at some of the larger car dealerships (not the little ones with 28% interest rates),,,, most large lots deal with a number of banks , and have a person in charge of finance, they can let you know what you qualify for,,,, it really comes down to paying higher interest rates for poorer credit,,,,,, but still,, its not that bad,, especially if you have a trade in, also check with your bank

Usually you have to have your job (if its perm) for more then 3 months for the bank to look at you.

For casual jobs you have to be in it for 12 months or more.

Show the bank you can afford it by saving, pretend you have the loan already and start making weekly payment into a savings account.
