You can answer that simply with 'why not'. That goes for ANY religion or belief system.
I was very fortunate to grow up with atheist and catholic parents (what a combo!) and for this reason nothing was forced upon me and I was able to come to my own conclusions. Every time I spent the night at a friends house, I would attend their service in the morning (my favorite was the synagogue, they had lachs and bagels!). If you feel you need an organized religion or belief system in your life, go out and 'try them on' and see what fits.
I must encourage you to try more than a few out, go back a couple of times to the ones you seem to like. Before you dive head first into anything, do the research (esp. if they ask for your life savings in order to become a member - I'm not kidding, when people are looking for direction the great orators say exactly what you want to hear and you'd be amazed at how willing a desperate mind can become).
There are also the Eastern religions and philosophy (Islam, Budd-ism, Hinduism, Confucianism)
Good luck in your search!

I'm a Christian and I believe the only way to heaven and an eternity with God is through Christ.
If that isn't reason enough for you then you probably shouldn't be a Christian.
I would not ever want to force anyone to become a Christian--I would want them to see the truth in Christianity and choose for themselves that this is the better path than Islam, Judaism or any other major religion.

Christianity does not promote war with each other whereas Islam talks about the G-Had. How can any religion promote fighting and killing? Also christianity does not require you to cover yourself up from head to toe to avoid making people sin... There are two reasons why this is unreasonable: Firstly when it gets really hot, can you imagine covering yourself totally. Also, god did not cover us with clothing in the beginning so why should he want us totally covered now. If he did not want us to show ourselves, why would he have made us all so different in appearance?
The most important reason is that Jesus said that he is the way, the truth and the life. No one shall enter the kingdom but through His Name.
And why wouldn't you want to love someone who gave his very life for you? Jesus Rocks!

...To some, Christianity is a laundry list of do's and don'ts, by which God denies you pleasures and takes all the fun out of life.
...In reality, obeying His commandments will please God, and bring us happiness and success. Observe
1 John 5:3 -
..."For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome."
...There is so much more to being a Christian. To be a Christian means I trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior, and I have a personal relationship with God. He loves me and has forgiven me of all my sins. I am Heaven-bound, and God accepts me as His child. He has promised to meet all my needs; fear of death is gone, since I go to be with Him when I die.
...God's Word, the Bible, is the Christian's guidebook for life, and the Holy Spirit enlightens it for me as I read it. His word contains all I need to live a successful life, and a righteous and godly life (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Joshua 1:8).
...I can talk with God in prayer at any time, and I pray in Jesus's Name, on His authority. God hears His children's prayers.
...While I am here on Earth, God lives within me in the Person of the Holy Spirit (what a great honor), and helps me live the Christian life. He steers me the right way, and gives me wisdom.
...Christianity has been called a crutch by some; to me, it is a whole life-support system. There is truly no better deal on Earth.
...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and be saved.
(Acts 16:31)
...Whosoever will, may come.

Do your research and find out if the Bible doesn't stand alone when compared to other religious documents. Study it for yourself. Check its claims and commandments against the Koran, and what we know of basic science today (i.e., the existance of germs, and benefit of handwashing, and the Law of Moses revealing what is unclean and how to cleanse).
Some books that may help are Signature of God by Grant Jeffery, and Evidence that Demands a Verdict by Josh McDowell.

Because Jesus Christ is the Messiah. He is the way, the truth & the life & no one comes to the Father (God) except through Him. If you wish to see God & make it to Heaven then that would be a good reason to be a Christian. Any "religion" that would tell you to kill yourself for your belief is NOT of God. Suicide is a sin. It's murder. There is no chance to ask forgiveness of that sin. Since sin is not allowed into Heaven you can see where this would be a problem. Any "religion" that would ask you to kill another religous group because of their beliefs is not of God. Jesus Christ is the one & only true Messiah. He is the only way to reach God. Pray to Him. Give your life to Him. He will lead you in the right way.

in christianity there is a way to God
in islam there is not
how can i prove this. by asking u a simple question.
if u died now, where r u going, to hill or to heaven?
what u will answer if u r moslem, Allah knows.
but the real christian (a believer not just a christian in name) will answer i am going to Heaven because God/Allah granted it for me.
In christianity there is forgiveness for sins while in islam there isnt
because muslem need to do hasanat and his hasanat need to be more that sayeát so he can enter heaven, inspit of the bad things he did, and also he need to go to hajj so God may accept him.

noone says its a must,. but since we christians are born and blessed after few months without knowing it,. we became christian...
its up to us to change or convert when we grow older...
but for me, its not about the religion... not mean to get some offended for example only, but whether some say holy spirit dont exists and impossible for mary to be virgin, or jesus is a man,.. or mohammad is a prophet.. and muslems are terrorist....
its not about fighting and mixing them....
its all about how you do good, and how you treat people well,. equally, fairly and nicely accepted to be done good unto others...
even a people who don't go to church or pray,.. can be a good human... and i think its the best part of it...
