Well, anyone can date, probably. Maybe your question should be "can they have sex?"
The answer to either question really depends on your local laws and what the age of consent (age of adulthood) is. In some states it's as young as 14/15. In others, it's 19.
If you're unsure and worried about parents or the law, please check first. You can probably find out easily enough by either going to findlaw.com and doing a search on "age of consent" or "age of contract" for your state, or maybe even by calling the local police department and asking.

Depending on your state, having sex with her may still be statory rape. Since that is what you were asking everyone but used the word "date" in place of "Sex", chances are nothing will happen since the age diffrence is so minor and most statory rape charges are brought forth by parents so unless you live in a state with crazy laws and her parents hate you go have fun (but be safe).

If you mean can they have sex, then that depends on your state. Every state has different laws about statutory rape, some states you can have sex with women over 16, some 18, some laws say it's okay as long as there is less than 2 or 4 years between the two.

Why not? It is only against the law if their having sex. In some states the legal age to consent to sex is 16.

i think sex is permitted in louisiana and texas..for a 17 year old to have sex with anyone 18 or older...as for dating i'd think your OK!! lol i'd know ...i went through this 3 years ago!!

Yes they can but baring in mind they are still studients so NO SEX SEX is supposed to be practiced after marriage but not before marriage all the best.
