Oh honey. Please don't let them make you self conscious. We all have things that make us less than perfect, your guy included.
If you are about to be initmate with this man then you must already have some emotional connection with him. Tell him your concern. I'll bet you a million that he will pull you to him and tell you how little he cares about such things.
He wants to make love to a woman, not a body. If you are in love or even on your way I assure he is already blinded to such imperfections.
I also am not perfect and have a scar from an abdominal surgery. It's rather long, and to me pretty hidious. The first time with my current lover I listed several things that bothered me about my body. I didn't even want to take my clothes off as he is so athletic and fit.
He laughed at me untill he realized I was serious. Then by everything he did and said he set about to show me how ittle those things mattered. My time with him has become so precious and I always feel beautiful in his arms.
Sex should be an affirming experience in every way. If you are rejected by this man (and I'll bet you won't be) on the basis of a few stretch marks then good riddence. No one needs to be judged on their body alone.
Women are made to feel so self sonscious due to movies, TV and advertising. We can't ever live up to the plastic women potrayed in the media. Please don't try. Be a real woman and I promise you won't regret it. Save your money and your worry. Love is truly blind.

Here are some suggestions that may work for you. First of all, the good news is that you're a young lady and at 16 your body is still going through changes and your skin will shed itself several times over so THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR YOU!!! :-) Try some of these suggestions: Exfoliate your skin ( St. Ives has a peach exfoliator that you can find at Wallgreens) put some on a rough sponge and while you're in the shower use it on the areas that you have stretch marks on and use the sponge in circular motions. You want to be a little rough ( but not too rough!!!) and do that every night. Once you get out of the shower you can apply a thick buttercream ( lotion) on, or the best trick of the trade.... liquid Vitamin K. You should be able to find that in most healthfood or vitatmin stores. Good luck!!! And SMILE........ you're only 16 so you have time to repair this very small problem!!! Good luck in your new upcoming school year! Take care, Michelle of Miami Laser Hair Removal

I have heard that tanning can help lighten them but have not found this to be true myself and I am right there with ya.
Don't worry though, if this man loves/cares for you that won't make a difference at all.
I have some horrible ones and was petrified the first time that I slept with a man after I started dating again (my son's father and I divorced after 7 years). Ya know what, I dated a few men before I met the man I would marry and not one of them said a thing about my stretch marks.
They are a bigger deal to you than they are to anyone else.

OK i can help you here, don't know if you can get it in the states if that's where you are? but here in the UK you can get from the chemist a camouflage cream that is used for hiding such things and scars, sometimes they have to order it in.
You need to make sure the colour matches your skin and learn how to use it like make up it is also water proof so u can go swimming.
There is no way of getting rid of the stretch marks as the skin has been torn and stretched.
Good luck i use it and its great once you have the right colour.

Hi.
I regret to say that stretch marks are very much like scars. If they're this old, it's unlikely that they're going to change on their own. Your body's tendency to "scar" or show changes to your skin is largely determined by genetics, so you don't even have a lot of control over it. (How I hated it when my doctors told me that, but everything I've read corroborates it!)
A couple of thoughts...
- Tanning beds (evens out skin tone)
- Sunless tanning lotions (evens out skin tone)
- Retin A or Vitamin A cream (helps rejuvenate the skin)
- Vitamin E oil (helps make the skin more supple)
There's always the possibility of using dim lights, too. :) (That's my preferred option!)
Good luck. Hope this helps.

I'm male and if i really cared about you enough to find out so to speak soon, it would not matter. If it does to him you know the answer.
