I think that a lot of people have low self esteem. In order to make themselves look, sound, or feel better for some this is the way they have to prove themselves in order to get that promotion. There is so much competition today. In my situation at 45 and having worked in the same industry for 25 years being injured on the job, I'm having to make a career change. I've been hired through a temp agency, I've been told that I look 30 and with the industry that I've chosen it is one of the qualifications they look for because of having to sell there product but yet I don't have experience the girls (managers) I've worked with it seems that they do this to try and protect there job. Once they get to know me it does change but it does take time. Girls can be so caddy. And I feel there is no work ethic today.
