Regarding the creation of the first man, Adam, the Bible says: "Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul." (Genesis 2:7) Clearly, the soul is not what a man has but what he is.
What happens to the soul at death? Consider what happened to Adam at his death. When he sinned, God told him: "You [will] return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return." (Genesis 3:19) Think of what that means. Before God created him from the dust, Adam did not exist. After his death, Adam returned to the same state of nonexistence.
In the Bible, the words translated "spirit" basically mean "breath." The Bible writer James, for example, states: "The body without spirit is dead." (James 2:26) Hence, spirit is that which animates the body.
The spirit, then, is the invisible life-force—the spark of life that keeps the cells and the person alive. This life-force is sustained by breathing.—Job 34:14, 15.
For example, an electric stove can be made to generate heat, a computer to process information, and a television set to produce images and sound. Yet, the electric current never takes on the features of the equipment it activates. It remains simply a force. Similarly, the life-force does not take on any of the characteristics of the creatures it animates. It has no personality and no thinking ability. Humans and animals "have but one spirit." (Ecclesiastes 3:19) When a person dies, therefore, his spirit does not go on existing in another realm as a spirit creature.

It relies upon upon the way you lived your life on earth. in case you've been saved, you bypass to an area said as Paradise. If no longer, you look ahead to judgment in an area said as Torments. After the Rapture, Tribulation, Armageddon and the second one Coming/Millennial Kingdom, you bypass to both Heaven or Hell.

I believe that they can travel from one dimension to the other. Most souls cross over to go Home. We live in the love of God. Our souls live multiple lives in an effort to educate ourselves.

In my vocabulary, there is no difference and I cannot be pursuaded otherwise. I will try to understand when you speak of them as two different things though.

If I understand you correctly, you think there is a difference. And if you think so, that's just fine.

the soul was sold to us 2000 years ago by the christians and the church in order to control us; the spirit though is very real and it lies between your heart and every breath you take. thhe spirit is the essence by which you live and learn ; it carries us when our mind is in doubt and it holds us true to our self.

SOUL:

Souls are created as Adam and Eve.
Souls are now born in sin because of these.
Souls are resurrected to salvations and made free.
Psalms 6:5 For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
Psalms 7:2 Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
Psalms 49:14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. Psalms 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
Acts 2:27 Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Acts 2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. [sepulchre hell as John 19:38-41; cave, tomb or grave]; Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Acts 2:33 Therefore[Jesus] being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and ear. Acts 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Acts 2:35 Until I make thy foes thy footstool[foes =Satan and his angels];
Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, Which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. [resurrected souls of just and unjust for judgement]. Psalms 104:29 Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.
Psalms 104:30 Thou sendest forth thy spirit,[Num16:22; James 2:26]; they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.
Psalms 115:15 Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
Luke 8:50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole. Luke 8:52 And all wept, and bewailed her: but he said,
Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. Luke 8:54 And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. Luke 8:55 And her spirit came again,
and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.
Eze.37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.
