Why would a guy still write to you when the e-mails are really quite mundane by nature? I am beginning to get tired of the e-mails? How do I stop e-mailing a person without feeling guilty?

You aren't going to I'm afraid...do it without feeling guilty that is...Just send an email back to him saying...it's been good chatting so far but you'd appreciate it if he didn't email you any longer.
I wouldn't go into an explanation as to why if I were you...
As for the feeling of guilt....you will feel bad but trust me you do get used to it & after a while that feeling gets less & less....in any situation that is....
You can't function all your life on guilt, it's not good for you...just keep telling yourself you have the right to talk to whom you want & you have the right not to.

If he still pesters you after that to ask why, then just return his mail & say "well! I would rather have not said, but since you've asked...you're as boring as fukc & I now have no option but to block any future mail from you"....then block him from your inbox.

If that doesn't get the message home to him then nothing will.

If you can do it this way you'll actually feel better about yourself rather than hiding away from what you feel, it doe's make you stronger to stand up for yourself you know Babe.

If however you can't at the moment do it like that, then just block his mail & don't look back...I'll give you all of 24 hours & you'll feel fine again.

Be strong Sweetie, you have the right to say who you do or don't correspond with without any guilt attached...
Good luck. ♥

I believe that honesty is the best policy, so if I were you, I would send this guy one last email, telling him not to contact you anymore, as you are no longer interested in him - and don't feel guilty - he would do the same to you, if the positions were reversed. Good Luck. !! xx

This chap sounds like Desperate Dan. Make your position quite clear in a final email rather than let him hang on wasting his time.
