i have been shaving my head for about 10 years and have now decided to grow some hair but i have been really tempted to shave my head for the past three nights. I have only been growing my hair for about three weeks so I have a long way to go and need to stop myself shaving my head.

I have this same problem and I'M A FEMALE!!! It is actually a type of obsessive compulsive disorder called Trichotemnomania, and it is sometimes caused by a chemical imbalance. I found out that my head shaving compulsion, along with severe depression, was caused by a deficiency in serotonin. You might want to get yourself checked out by a doctor and find out if your situation is caused by a chemical imbalance or if there is some psychological cause. Good luck, and if you can't cure it, at least know that there's a lot of women who dig bald guys.
Oh yeah, by the way, I have shoulder length hair now, so it is possible to get past this!

Try to remember how cold your head can get with no hair to keep it warm. Or maybe you can reward yourself with like, candy each day you don't shave it. that might work...

Carry a cue ball around with you. This will remind you what you look like without hair.
Or, cultivate the habit of wearing a hat.

wow your an addict fro shaving your head
sounds to me your not so sure about growing your hair
well just think of what you hair would look like and what your gonna do with it and how cool its gonna look
it works.
