if a guy thinks that you're pretty and cute it doesn't necessarily mean that he likes you, right? and if he gets excited when someone said to him, 'i think she likes you' it also doesn't mean anything, right?

it sounds like to me that he does like you....I mean, a guy can think you are pretty and not necessarily have to like you, that part is true, but if he's getting all excited when he's told that you like him, to me that sounds like a crush is in effect.

Unfortunately people can be pretty complex no matter what the gender. If a guy tells you "you are pretty" it could actually mean many things positive about him or negative. And if he gets excited it could also mean many different things such as he likes you and is glad you like him or he feels someone thinks he is attractive.. and he feels most girls don't.

well the first doesn't mean he likes you and depending on how excited he got when he found out you liked him he could just be acting cocky because he found out that someone liked him and it gave him a temperary ego boost.
Though i would say that its still most likely that he has a crush on you.
