Looking around at this natural world it takes a lot more faith to think it happened by accident. guess i'm a natural doubter.

I don't understand how people can believe puny insignificant temporary little man and his adolescent ideas about the cosmos which he regularly overthrows with new ideas and accept any notion of order arising out of chaos on the scale of the whole universe. It just seems to me a Creator is a far more likely cause, (really the only reasonable explanation) than is accident. It seems to me an accident could not bring about what is. No way.

And then if a Creator I can look around and see who believes what and I have found for me it is Christianity which demonstrates a logical plan which traverses millenia. No man can invent a pattern of development as unfolded from Abraham to Christ. It (the history of one family) is a continuum of intelligent execution for a consistently stated purpose over the course of 1600 years and carries real evidential proofs even today in current events..

You gotta have real faith to believe otherwise. But then man is a stubborn and fearful mule. Too bad most of the church leaders have so corrupted the truth that the unbelievers have reasonable cause to dismiss what little of Christianity they see. The bulk of christendom is corrupted beyond recognition. So why recruit more into the same corruption? That is what many busily do without realizing it (because they haven't read) and the same old errors are perpetuated, driving away the sincere observer.

Both. Believing, going to church, etc. is harder if you have not been raised and taught to do so. If anyone takes the time to study what has been prophecied in the Bible they have to see that it is true. You don't want scripture but I can show you one little thing to prove this. Revelations is hard to understand without a good teacher, but all the things mentioned, such as the beast, candlesticks, etc. etc. stand for something or someone. In Rev. Chapter 11, it speaks of God's last two witnesses on earth being killed by the 'beast' (Satan) and all people, tongues and nations will see their dead bodies lying in the street for three and a half days. Now this was written nearly 2000 years ago. How did the prophet know that in the 1900's we would be able to see into every corner of the world via satellite and see what is happening unless God gave him the vision. This is just one small proof that the prophecies are true. Everything that has happened, is happening and will happen is there. It's scary, even if you are a believer and have faith, and most people don't want to hear about it. One other thing - When you read and learn what God has said about Israel, you won't have to wonder how that tiny nation has survived when hated by all around it. Everything going on there was prophecied and God has a timetable for things to come. Enough from me. Thanks for reading it.

No, I have read lots of books, I have been taught many things. I have been taught that at night hospitals take plants out of the wards because they use up all the oxygen, I have been taught that babies inside their mothers go through the evolutionary stages, I have been taught that quadratic equations are very very important, etc.
I believe in the Bible because I want to. The fact is the Bible isn't just a religious book, it is also a history book. It is the history of God's relationship with man. So everything in the Bible is either a fact, or can't be disproved.

I really feel that the bible can be taken many ways. One verse could mean something totally different to me then what it would mean to another. That doesn't mean that the other person could never be per sued to think your way or vice verse. But it can be tuff.I haven't met a person yet who could totally convince me that just because they know a whole chapter that it means one thing.
Although they may think they have it knacked I can through a curve at them.Sometimes they get stubborn to the actual possibilities and shut your face up because they truely believe there way is right and only there way.
I'm more open then that because I can see where i was in there shoes before ,and felt the same way.Only thing is I took alot of time to think about actually how flexible Jesus and God said they where.Forgive and you shall be forgiven.Everyone seems to forget that phrase alot.If they want to take Gods words so literaly then never forget that Phrase and they take a complete spin around.Jesus last words where Forgive them for they know not what they do and these where people that murdered Gods son.
You can be complex or simple as long as you don't for get some of these things I told you.

It surely would be handy, but you cannot KNOW that what you believe is truth
Teachings, reading, reflection, deliberation and all rational considerations should never be neglected, but they take you only so far. They will not lead anyone to a PROVABLE truth. They can lead you to a conclusion upon which you choose to place your faith. I was going to say that faith is everything, and for certain purposes, it is. But your faith can then be "fed", that is, reinforced by your interpretations of your experiences. Of course, it can also be tried by circumstances, so then you might need to fall back to intellectualizing as well as praying for guidance.

Ask this question again when you have lived some of the Bible verses and did not know it at the time. Then you read it and realized what you did wrong. Mine was Luke Chapter 15:11-32 with only trivial variation. When you see the real wisdom and humanity that is there then it will really mean something to you.

I believe the Word 100% ....you need some measure of absolute truth.

I agree with most teachings. Not all. I dont get up, slam my Bible and walk out! Thats rebellion. I say..."I think I'll pass on that" and sit there politely.

Bible says to test all things. There have been cases where I didnt agree and later it was revealed I was wrong.

Overall, I have been blessed with good teachers.

Good question,

I found out through honest and sincear prayer, where I felt the Holy Ghost tell me the truth of it. Reading and listening were the first steps, the next was to ponder or think about it. But no matter how much I could logically work things out, they only made sense when the spirit whispered the truth to me.

Because I researched the validity of a Creator with the sciences of geology, physics, archaeology and bio-sciences. How can any one calling him or herself a Christian, just suck-up something said to him or her and believe it because "someone said it" ? The evidence is there, provided an individual chooses to uncover it. Whether it be Darwin or Haekel ... these theories when researched, do not stand the test of scientific fact. Even, as you arrive at the evolution theory being bogus you still have to deal with the issues of, is there or isn't there, a Devine Creator. There is plausible evidence to conclude concretely, God does exist.

I believe because at 8 years old, I saw Jesus and a miracle,Jesus came to me later in life when I prayed deeply ,as I was in terror,He performed another miracle.Holy Angels saved me from certain death 4 times.I seen Angels save my brother, my sister and friends from death.I saw brain tumors disappear.I know Jesus is real.I
read the Bible now. Many are called, few are chosen.I am no one, a lowly housewife,I have
no clue why God chose me,yet he did.
