non stick are either stainless or aluminum pans with a non stick coating on them , teflon is a brand of non stick coating made by dupont, its the most popular and widely used.

Teflon® is a DuPont -owned registered trademark. It is the surface for which their brand of non-stick pan is made. Teflon is also used for many other things such as the coating to prevent stains on carpets and clothing. Other companies use other names for their non-stick pans, but the surfaces are made from basically the same materials as Teflon®.

Teflon®, or rather the popular use of it's name, has become a catch-all for non-stick surfaces, much like Xerox® for copies or Kleenex® for tissues.
