There is today, no such thing as a messianic Jew. One is either a Christian or not.

Keeping the old Jewish feasts today is an abomination in the eyes of God.

The only feasts that are of any merit are the ones proclaimed by the only church Jesus ever founded, and primary among them is attendance at Sunday Mass.

Your "remnant" position is completely untenable.

You have been deceived. Repent, before it's too late.

I have watched it.
There is nothing in Revelation Chapter 17 and 18 which points to the Roman Catholic Church as the harlot or the whore of Babylon. Parallels to prove this theory have no basis in truth or in fact. It is just the product of someone's imagination. The harlot referred to is the Roman empire which was pagan. This description is consistent with Old Testament images of adultery and prostitution as symbols of unfaithfulness to God (Jeremiah 3,20).
The book of Revelation spoke to early Christians in symbolic language they could understand; about the situation they were facing, not about the situation that Christians would face 1,900 years later. I have yet to find a non-denominational Bible commentary, which says that, the events in Revelation 17 & 18 are still in the future. All say the images refer to the persecution of early Christians in the first century.
Modern readers sometimes think that the book of Revelation must be written in a secret code. WOULD A LOVING AND MERCIFUL GOD INSPIRE A MESSAGE TO HIS PEOPLE IN A CODE, WHICH THEY COULD NOT POSSIBLY UNDERSTAND? We should not make the mistake of assuming that because we don't understand the symbols in Revelation, the original audience didn't either - BECAUSE TO THEM THE SYMBOLS WERE PERFECTLY CLEAR.
Let us remember that the book of Revelation is not a book of desolation but a book of consolation. John's visions were designed to assure persecuted Christians that the pagan Roman empire would be destroyed. That prophecy has been fulfilled.
If it means anything to you, I was a Presbyterian Protestant for more than 20 years before I converted to Catholicism.
May the Lord's peace be with you.

Consider this my last answer to any one of your "questions" (read ramblings).

Earlier in the week, you asked a question leading with the term "fellow christians". I really thought you might be coming around, but alas, no. Now you are back with this Messianaic Jew nonsense. David, David David. If you only knew now what you will come to find out hopefully sooner rather than later.....You my misguided Canadian friend......have joined a cult.

I say it's my last email to you for a number of reasons.

1. You're killin my best answer percentage (lol, just kidding)

2. You have just assaulted (in written form), a Nun (the Chutzpah that takes!)......Oh I'm sorry I have tried Yiddish humor on you before but I keep forgetting YOUR NOT JEWISH! my bad. Chutzpah is like gaul or nerve. You consistently abuse Catholics and say you love them at the same time. You maybe Sacharin in Training, but apparently still angry to a degree.

3. I asked you how you became a Jew for Jesus 6 weeks ago, you didn't have the courtesy of answering.

4. I expalined on 2 occasions how the 7th Day Adventists actually have accomplished as Christans for years in accepted fashion what you guys attempt do masquerading as Jews. I even provided you links. No answer.

So I am feeling that this is becoming a 1 way communication. Lol. It seems you are ineterested in using your 6 weeks worth of Jew for Jesus training and using it to save the world, rather than to engage in any meaningful exchange of ideas.

Also-to add to what Doug wrote. I am Jewish and I don't know what current church teachings say regarding the celebration of old jewish holidays. However, I can tell you one thing, David's group here does not stick to these old holidays as religiously as they claim to. There is one part of the Jewish Passover Seder where for thousands of years every Passover, we take a moment from the ceremony and open the front door of the house to let in the Prophet Elijah. There is even a full cup of wine set aside untouched for Elijah. I was talking with a few messanic Jews a couple of years ago about their Seder and they told me that the cup on the table represent "The blood of Christ". They gotta be kidding. They actually make all kinds of stuff up like this to conveniently find a comfortable (albeit not genuine) mixing of Christianity with Jewish Tradition..

I know a Rabbi that works as a deprogrammer when Jewish kids are subjected to these folks for a little too long. He once showed me a Handbook that the Messianic Jews/J for J use to in an attempt to refute logic that disproves their claims. It's actually funny until you realize that there are people who actually afll for it.

You know what they are told to do if bested in a debate or argument....Smile, and say tot heir opponent..."I'll pray for you" and walk away. Of all the Hokey things.

David, one final thing and it kind of pains me to say this. You mentioned once in your profile (since erased) that you have had somewhat of a checkered past and may have been a criminal of sorts. If that was the case, I am glad for you that you no longer are a danger in that way. However, I gotta say I honestly believe (if Yahoo Answers is any indication) that you were probably much easier to take then you are now. Reform at what cost?

I'm done.

I do need to go a website to believe in my God. What Religion are you if you have one?
No I am not. I have been told not to go to links, they could contain a virus and I have been a Nun for 50 years and you were only been a Catholic for 16 years

Yours in Christ

I'm not a nun, though at times in the past I've thought about becoming one ... so I had a look at the link.

I stopped after Scene 1, because it was (no offense) just too silly to take seriously.

It was silly because it depends totally on reading meanings into words that just aren't there.

"Church = woman"? "Beast = nation"? Come on.

The best thing about that has to be the awesome music. It's worth watching for that. Like a telenovela.

Those explanations are really pathetic in my opinion. Anybody who believes them has no actual knowledge of history or philosophy.

David, you didn't ask a question here, you just took the stage and started preaching.

What *is* the question here?
