OK sorry we don't know what you mean. I will answer according to what you could possibly mean.

One if a child falls down pick them up pet them a bit but don't make a big fuss of it.

Two, if you mean like there is a death of a child in the family, be there for them and love them, but don't tell them you know how you feel. If you are the one that lost a child I am sorry, in the state of Tx we have a place called the worm place and it is counseling for the entire family after the loss of a loved one in the family. There are many programs similar just google it on the web for your area. Again I am sorry.

If I still missed what you are asking I am sorry I don't have a clue.

Never ever pick them up. They need to get themselves up as if there are broken bones they will not be moved into a position that will do more harm. If it is a bump on the head apply an ice pack and watch for signs that are not normal (ie:dizziness, blurred sight etc.) then off to the doctor if this happens. In general kids slip get up by them selves and get on with their day. If they can't get themselves up then call an ambulance

The worst thing to do is make a big fuss, just pick him up, give him a cuddle for a few seconds, them distract him with something else. The more you make a fuss, the more he will cry and fuss!
