I think that the cutoff for companies to send their W2s to employes is Feb 1st, Do they all wait to the last minute to do this, also I worked for a company last year that offered my W2 online, but I quit them and don't have access to the e-mail account that I used to sign up for it, Will they send me a paper one when they get the e-mail bounced back??(I moved and cut-off my internet where I was, Forgot all about it untill about a week ago) Thanks ahead of time.....

yes me too unfortunately, Jan 31 is the day most larger companies will send the info out and deadline... smaller ones like my place will be handing them out this weekend. To help getting your W2 info on the place you quit use the last pay check stub... If you don't get it the first week I would go back to the employer's Accounting department and just ask for a copy...

Hope it helps

You can call and asked the HR department to see if you can still get your W2 online. Yes, most companies send out the W2 toward the end, but it is not like that they like it. The reason is that they need to double check the figures to make sure that everything is correct. Once the returns are filed and W2 send out, it is a big hassle if there are mistakes and they need to send out amendments.

They may mail it if they have a way of determining whether or not a copy of your W2 was downloaded.

Also - I hope you submitted a Change Of Address with the Postal Service and/or with your old company so that when they mail out your W2 it won't be returned.
