A little-known historical fact is that Kennedy and Khrushchev tried to make nice shortly after the Cuban missile crisis. In an effort toward detente the Soviets ordered one million condoms from a US manufacturer and the US purchased one million cases of vodka. The Soviets insisted that they needed twelve inch long condoms. The US manufacturer made the condoms and marked the boxes as size medium.
