I don't want it to be to complex, just a good simple smoothie. I make most of mine with ice, fruit, and juice. What about milk, or yogurt?

Fresh fruit of any kind
Ice
Milk if you like it or you can use any kind of juice
Some people use Yogurt for flavor
You can also canned fruit but fresh is better

I like to use frozen fruit, like strawberries, and fresh bananas. I also add flavored yogurt, a different flavor from the frozen fruit. Then I add a little ice and orange juice and blend. I have a Magic Bullet, which is perfect for me because I'm usually only blending one or two servings. I'm sure a full sized blender is just as good. That's as simple as it gets I think; milk or yogurt is not needed, but a little dairy is good for us all!

When I make a smoothie, I get a blender, cut up the fruit of my choice, add milk. The amount of milk is your liking. It can be 1 cup or 2 cups, it is your choice. Add some flavoring, a little sugar if you like and maybe some crushed ice. Place the blender lid on it and use the pulse function to control the thickness of it.
I came up with this on my own. Also if you want some real smoothie recipes, try Foodnetwork.com. They may have some recipes.

3/4 cup of vanilla yogurt, one can mixed fruit, one banana, soy milk or regular milk, two tablespoons peanut butter & Ice. Put Ice in first & peanut butter last. I make this smoothie for my son who does not eat meat every morning.

Using frozen fruit is a really good idea also. I'm not sure where I got that idea from, possibly Rachael Ray, but using frozen fruit lets you use a little less ice - better in my opinion.
