Born again by water (baptism) is the forgiveness of sin and the public confession of faith.

Is being born again of the SPIRIT that produces the change.

IE: I went from drug dealer, coke addict, alcoholic and sexaholic to a tax paying, honourable dude in about 4 seconds. Not by water, but by HIS Spirit. The one that lives in us.

Bless you
David T

The trinity isn't a Catholic component in any respect, it is area of practically each and every Christian denomonation. Being 'born again' is a more desirable worry-free time period between protestants. And only a note to the guy who stated the King James Bible, i'm no longer particular the position you have become your preparation from yet that version is turning out to be a lot less and a lot less worry-free, maximum churches presently use the NIV, and as for swearing on it, no one ought to extremely swear on a Bible because the Bible itself says now to not swear on some thing, "enable your convinced be convinced and your no be no".

Being "born again" and being baptized are not the same thing. That's how I see it--others may disagree. "Born again" is allowing God to come into your life and having a relationship with Jesus. Baptism is where people go under water. When someone becomes "born again" then their past sins are forgiven. Yes. It doesn't mean the person becomes perfect and stops sinning though. But God forgives sins.

People are born again only by the grace of God... In the Bible's Old Testament if you commited a sin that was that, you had to pay for your life and your sin was punished. But because God loved humans He sent Jesus to this earth to pay for our sins with His own life. Being born again has nothing to do with the baptisim but it has everything to do with accepting that you are a sinner and you need help, then accepting that Jesus is Lord and Saviour, therefore allowing Him into our hearts. That is what being born again means, it means that as people we are actually born again...

It doesn't say those things disappear - it simply gives us conviction so that we don't stray too far from God. We are still human, the world is still there and we still have free will - we just invite the holy spirit in to us to keep us in check.

I am not a born-again Christian, but I think you would have to make a serious change in your ways and really feel the need to change.

Thats why many "born agains" continue to sin after baptism. Instant change is both unrealistic and foolish.

It's a made-up term for Christians who are now fanatical believers in a flawed, man-made book. They also practice cultish nonsense such as, "speaking in tongues", "healing", and "tithing".
